Summarizing the information from this post.

Africa
The East African
One tolerably good source for African news.

Daily News Egypt
News from Egypt

Daily Maverick
South Africa news

Australia
Australian Broadcasting Corporation world news
The house organ of the Australian establishment. The BBC could stand to learn a thing or two from its Australian equivalent; the biases are a good deal less heavy-handed and the range of stories is frankly more interesting. Good for finding out what the other side of the planet is doing.

The Spectator (Australia)
The Spectator, Australian edition.

China
The South China Morning Post
The Chinese equivalent of the BBC; its biases are just as visible but the writing's generally better.

Europe
Deutsche Welle English edition
This is the place to find out what our would-be lords and masters are thinking. The air of smug self-satisfaction is breathtaking.

France 24
French equivalent of the BBC. The journalism is pretty good and the focus is the areas formerly controlled by France and often under reported elsewhere. Available in English, French and Arabic.

Global
South Front
SouthFront: Analysis & Intelligence is a public analytical umbrella organization created and maintained by a team of experts and volunteers from the four corners of the Earth. SouthFront focuses on issues of international relations, armed conflicts and crises. The organization provides military operations analysis, military posture of major world powers, and other important data influencing the growth of tensions between countries and nations.

India
The Hindu international news
A solid old-fashioned newspaper with up-to-date news and in-depth articles. If the staff of the New York Times ever decide to get back into the business of reporting news, they ought to go to Madras and intern with The Hindu for a while to find out how it's done.

Israel
www.haaretz.com
Israel's newspaper of record, center-left.

Latin America
El Comercio
News from Peru. El Comercio is the paper of record in Peru. It's not great, but since reporting on South America in the US is ZERO, it's way better than anything. It is in Spanish, but if you're willing to fiddle with google translate, or the various translator browser attachments, it's read-able.

Middle East
Al-Masdar News
Pro-Iran and pro-Syria. Up-to-date and clearly written military news from the Muslim world. The place to go to find out who's shooting at who in the Middle East and North Africa.

Russia
Russia Today
Pro-Russian and anti-NATO. Lively and snarky at its best, jingoistic at its worst, but always readable. It was the best place online to keep tabs on the war in Syria, and it's op-ed columns are not to be missed.

Meduza
Biases: Russian (liberal) political opposition news, anti Russian government, focused on government corruption etc.
Interesting because its one of the few sources of news from Russia that is not provided by a state controlled outlet. Independent journalism is a dying breed in Russia.

Taiwan
Taiwan News
Taiwan News, and read some interesting stories.

United Kingdom
BBC News
Some of its reportage is fairly good, some of it reads like highbrow tabloid fodder. Its biases are right out there in the open -- for example, the only stories it ever carries about Trump are heavily negative -- but if you can adjust for that, it has value.

The Spectator
The Spectator is always worth a read. Unfortunately, you do need to subscribe in order to read more than a few articles.
The UK edition sells particularly well for a current affairs magazine. It's been published since 1828 and recently produced its 10,000th issue.

The New Statesman
A very mixed but articles by John Gray are well worth a read. There's a pay wall but you get 4 free articles a month without registering.

UnHerd
In addition to the New Statesman this is also a good source of free articles including John Gray.

Army Rumour Service
Covers defence and political / social issues in the serious bit. It has a good level of moderation for the serious areas and there is a lot of input from British expats living in various parts of the world, often with civil service and / or military experience. There are dedicated sub-forums for the middle east, Covid, Brexit etc. There are often many links posted to quality journalistic material.

United States
The Watchers
Natural disasters & space.

The National Rifle Association Institute for Legislative Action
A good counterpoint and fact-check source for consumers of US mainstream news.
Biases: Single issue, pro-firearms, grassroots lobbying organization. US, state, and local politics. About what you’d expect from happy amateurs with a shoestring budget. US mainstream media outlets are uniform in opposing private ownership of firearms. The NRA-ILA offers a stream of facts to counter the monoculture coverage offered in the usual sources. Of interest to Green Wizards for obvious reasons.

Vietnam
Tuoi Tre News
This website is ok for very basic Vietnamese news.
